Overview
As one of the metroplex’s top clubs, Mira Vista has hired Weibring-Wolfard to conduct a thorough analysis of the golf course in order to create a Master Plan for the club’s future. Seeing that Mira Vista has a good golf course with many assets, the Master Plan being conducted for Mira Vista is focused on the detail of the facility with the goal being to further solidify it as one of the premier clubs in the Southwest.
Based on the recommendations of the master plan, WWGD completed a bunker renovation for Mira Vista in 2014. The goal for 2016 was to improve the practice area. The main practice tee was leveled, expanded and an artificial turf tee installed along the back. The putting green near the staging area was reclaimed, expanded, re-contoured and planed with MiniVerde bermuda grass. A new short game green was constructed on the back of the range and is surrounded with five bunkers of different size and depth. This green will recreate every short shot the member will face on the course from sand, rough or fairway! Part of the project was to build five target greens in the body of the range with complimentary bunkers and MiniVerde bermuda grass greens. These targets will enhance practice and allow the staff to close the range and set up a Short Course for the members. This is a wonderful amenity especially for Kids, Ladies, Seniors and Families!
