Project Description
Overview
The Tenison Highlands Golf Course is part of 36-hole complex located in the heart of the White Rock/Lakewood area of Dallas. Weibring-Wolfard Golf Design became part of an effort to keep convention and business money in Dallas as opposed to new suburbia courses. The scope of work included a complete redesign of the golf course, a significant upgrade to the playability and aesthetics of the golf course, new short game area, redesign of the staging area and the location, design and construction of a new golf cart facility. Weibring-Wolfard was the lead consultant and directed all sub-consultants including the civil engineer, building architect, landscape architect and irrigation designer. The golf course opened in October of 2000 and currently is the most popular of the City of Dallas public golf courses. The course now has seen huge revenue increases each year since its reopening.
Testimonials
In the fast growing suburban community of Flower Mound, Texas, Weibring Wolfard Golf Design was selected to design the 18-hole Bridlewood Golf Club, the centerpiece of an 800-acre master planned community. The daily fee golf course opened in 1997 and was rated the 2nd Best New Course in the State of Texas by the Dallas Morning News. Weibring Wolfard provided all routing plans, design development plans, construction drawings and specifications, made site visits throughout the construction and grow-in phase of the project.
